Dr Cheetham Lawrence Mingle

Dr. Cheetham Lawrence Mingle is an Analytical Chemist with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Chemistry, Master of Science (MSC), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Analytical Chemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi. Dr. Mingle previously worked as a Research Associate with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blackburg, Virginia, and as a Laboratory Manager of the Food Physicochemical Laboratory of the Centre for Laboratory Services and Research at the Ghana FDA. Dr. Mingle is currently the Head of the Research and Nutrition Department of the FDA, President-elect for the AOAC Africa Section, and an expert on the FAO/WHO Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). He is passionate about residues and metal contamination in food and feed and their human exposures through food consumption.
